Tenants are also entitled to other rights such as a quiet living space, livable conditions, a certain level of privacy and a home free of lead poisoning.
Landlords’ rights: Just as tenants do, landlords have certain rights as well; mainly to protect their income investment. Landlords have the right to evict tenants; however, an eviction must be for a clear reason. If a tenant is behind on rent, that tenant should be notified and given the opportunity to pay. Landlords are expected to give eviction notices within a reasonable amount of time.
